Accessibility statement
Last updated: 2026-10-21
Numerith should be usable by everyone. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, a skip link and a logical heading structure on every page.
- Every input has a visible label; help text and validation errors are linked to their fields and announced.
- Calculator results update in a polite live region so screen readers announce the main result after you stop typing.
- Everything can be operated by keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator; the search box follows the ARIA combobox pattern.
- Light, dark and high-contrast themes, respect for your system colour scheme and reduced-motion settings.
- Charts are accompanied by a text summary and, where relevant, a data table.
- Arabic is supported right-to-left, with numbers and formulas kept left-to-right for readability.
- Touch targets are at least 44 × 44 CSS pixels for primary controls.
How it was tested
Key pages are checked automatically with the axe-core accessibility engine in the end-to-end test suite, alongside keyboard-navigation tests. Automated tools find only some issues; a full manual audit with screen readers has not yet been completed.
Known limitations
- Calculator explanations are currently available in English only, although the interface is available in Arabic, French, Spanish, German and Simplified Chinese.
- Some large result tables require horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- Charts are simplified; use the accompanying text and tables for precise values.
